Hello, my name is John Anderson and I have been a professional paperhanger for 38 years. My Father and his Father were paperhangers, My Grandfather started his business in 1926 under the name
A.R. Anderson Paperhanging Co.
in Asheville N.C. His company was chosen to redecorate the Biltmore Manson, later he moved to Knoxville Tenn. where later during the war his company received contract to paint and paper the houses at Oak Ridge Tenn. for the government. My Father returned from the service in 1945 and started his business in 1947 under the name
Earl Anderson Paperhanging Co.
he worked until his retirement in 1989. He received recognition for two world records in wallcovering . One for installing the longest strip of wallcovering, 55 feet 7 inches at the Knoxville Coliseum in 1966, the second for the longest mural/photo mural for the 1982 Worlds Fair at Knoxville Tenn, at 90 feet long x 9 feet high.I worked for my father till 1975 when I moved to Saint Petersburg Florida.I have always enjoyed installing wallcovering, meeting people,some famous like Terry and Linda Bollea aka Hulk Hogan, Dick Misner owner of Misner Marine, Four Star General McCalaus,seeing great homes and fantastic interiors.I have done commercial work for Hospitals, Motels, Banks, Shopping Malls, Restaurants, Doctors and Attorney Offices. Although I have not made a lot of money,I am proud of my record. I have no complaints filed with the B.B.B. I have NEVER SUED OR BEEN SUED by a customer.

I have always been a innovator, born of necessity. My first major client was Palms of Pasadena Hospital. My job was to remove and replace the wallcovering in the medical offices. The problem was that It had to be done between 5pm Friday and 7am Monday. With everything as it was when we started. They had to be ready Monday! I did this for the first 10 years, and developed procedures that we still use today.
